Busking For Others
He performs in New York’s subways to bring hope–and cash–to anyone in need.
It all started after a bad day at work, when he took his guitar down to the subway to let off some steam.
Soon people were tossing money into his case…
and he decided to give it all away.
In just the first two weeks, he gave away over $2,000, and he has been hooked on giving, ever since.
Boyajian plays daily, with a handwritten sign that reads, “If you are homeless or need help, take as much from the case as you need.”
Even with up to $400 in his case, most people take just what they need, stopping to thank him and tell him their stories.
At day’s end, If there’s money left over, he buys subway passes and hands them out to passersby.
Boyajian is recruiting more performers, seeking to put one in every major subway station across New York City.
And you can help… via his nonprofit, HopefulCases.org.
It’s another way we can all be part of bringing hope, help and music,
to people everywhere.
